FLORENCE, SC – September 14, 2015 – The Healthcare Services Group of regional accounting firm WebsterRogers LLP will deliver a seminar “Navigating Through the Impacts of HR Issues & Affordable Care Regs” on September 24, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Courtyard North Charleston, in North Charleston, SC.

“Healthcare entities must stay aware of the ongoing impacts to their business as it relates to human resource policy, reporting requirements, and reimbursement,” says Nelda Fields, partner in charge of WebsterRogers’ Healthcare Services Group. “Our team is focused on creating value in healthcare practices with these educational seminars that help them deal more proactively with the challenges they face.”

Human Resource practices are constantly evolving. Diedri Garrett, WebsterRogers Human Resource Consultant, is teaming up with Attorney David McCormick of Charleston’s Womble Carlyle Law Firm to educate attendees on current trends, prevalent issues, and relevant legal updates. They will discuss legal aspects of Human Resources and encourage attendees’ awareness of laws related to hiring practices, litigation issues, and prevention.

The Affordable Care Act was enacted to increase the quality and affordability of health insurance, lower the uninsured rate by expanding public and private insurance coverage, and reduce the costs of healthcare for individuals and the government. It introduced mechanisms like mandates, subsidies, and insurance exchanges. The expert panel will present timely and useful information that applies to all industries and provide an overview of tax-related issues along with the impact that they are making on businesses.

While the seminar offers some information of particular interest for those in healthcare, the seminar’s topics are relevant to all types of businesses. The Healthcare Services Group at WebsterRogers specializes in providing accounting, tax, payroll & employee benefits, practice management, consulting, compliance and other services to physicians, clinics, hospitals and healthcare systems, ambulatory surgery centers, dentists, orthodontists and other healthcare providers.

In this seminar, our Healthcare experts will present timely and useful information that applies to all industries across the board, and will include human resource best practices and Affordable Care Act regulations. Pre-registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided. For information and to register, click here or contact Rachel Howell at WebsterRogers at 843-665-5900.
